Brooke Grabow was born December 11, 1977 in Miami, Florida. While still in her crawling stage, she was spellbound by her parents' 10-tier Technics stereo system. As a kid, she would study the front and back of the different components and how it was all connected together. She dreamed of adjusting the perfectly calibrated equalizer, and to get her hands on the Technics 1200 turntable, which sat at the very top of the tier.

Growing up in Miami, she was an adamant listener to the Hip Hop Shop, 12'o'clock Funk, Conscious Rhythms, the Underground, and the Electric Kingdom; all shows on WVUM, University of Miami college radio. She would fine tune into all the pirate radio stations that emerged from 1994 - 1998 and became infatuated with radio.

In 1996, upon arriving at Boston University, she started her first Funk radio show. Artists such as Stevie Wonder, Tower of Power, P - Funk, Bootsy Collins, and James Brown were the foundation of the show. Brooke operated the "big board" with 2 turntables, 2 CD players, 2 tape decks, 2 cart machines, a microphone, and an on-air phone line. In the basement of Myles Standish Hall at BU, the same place where Howard Stern had started, she began her adventure as a DJ.

Within months, she became the RPM Music Director. She hosted her show "Elements" with a live turntable mix for 4 years at BU. As music director, she spoke directly with labels and distributors building a collection of all "beat related music". She listened to and labeled all incoming music including Jungle, Drum and Bass, Electro, Breakbeats, Down-tempo, Goth, Industrial, House and Hip-Hop. She started a RPM light to heavy rotation, and reported a weekly top 10 to CMJ. In 1999, WTBU could be heard live via the Internet with camera and sound feed.

Brooke's passion in radio, led to much time spent mixing records at home. In 1999, she got her first gig playing a club in Boston's Chinatown. The summers from 97-2000, she spun after hours parties at her sister's infamous house, on the corner of Fairfax and Hollywood, in Los Angeles. She also spun at Guys in Los Angeles for other friends' parties.

Upon moving back to Miami in the fall of 2000, she became a resident DJ at the Astor Hotel for their weekly Friday night poolside soirée. She also landed a gig at an official 2000 Zen Festival after party at the Living Room. There she spun in the backroom, sharing the roster with well-known recording artist and DJ, Jody from Way Out West.

Presently, Brooke is a resident DJ at South Beach hot spots Skybar, Prive, and Mansion. She is also a featured DJ in the movie; Put the Needle on the Record, which is currently touring independent film festivals around the globe. For 2 years in a row, she has DJed United Talent Agency's MTV Movie Awards after-party at Chateau Marmount, and their Toronto Film Festival Party in 2003. Recently, she DJed Madonna's official cast and crew party for her Re-invention Tour where Madonna, alongside her cast and crew, filmed behind the scenes for their tour video. Undoubtedly, Brooke has become a sought after DJ to rock the best events, parties, and clubs. With her vast knowledge of music, skilled mixing and overall flavor, she gets the bodies moving, the drinks pouring, and people always coming back for more.
